ACLS Provider – HeartCode Skills Session
This hands-on skills session completes the American Heart Association ACLS HeartCode program. You’ll demonstrate advanced cardiac life support skills, clinical decision-making, and team-based resuscitation in a focused, instructor-led setting.

Who This Skills Session Is For
This session is for healthcare professionals who have completed the AHA ACLS HeartCode online course and need an in-person skills assessment.
  • Registered nurses, physicians, PAs & advanced practice providers
  • Paramedics, critical care & emergency clinicians
  • ICU, ER, cath lab, and procedural staff
  • Anyone whose employer or credentialing body requires AHA ACLS Provider
Two-Part Completion Requirement
This certification requires completion of both parts below.
  • Part 1 – AHA ACLS HeartCode eLearning (Required)
    Self-paced online course (approximately 2–5 hours). This portion is purchased separately and completed directly through the American Heart Association.

  • Part 2 – In-Person Skills Practice & Testing
    Hands-on skills assessment at our office. Plan for approximately 1–1.5 hours.
Skills You Will Be Evaluated On
  • ACLS Megacode scenario (team leadership & clinical decision-making)
  • Adult BLS skills and high-quality CPR
  • Airway management and effective ventilations
  • Recognition and management of lethal rhythms
  • Use of ACLS algorithms, medications & team communication
Certification
Upon successful completion of the online course and skills session, you will receive an AHA ACLS Provider eCard valid for 2 years.
Student Verification
To protect the integrity of your certification, we verify student identity at the in-person skills session.

Please bring any photo ID (student ID, work badge, membership card, etc.). The name on your registration and online course should match the name on your ID so your certification is issued correctly.
Important Information – Please Read Carefully
  • The ACLS HeartCode eLearning course is owned and operated entirely by the American Heart Association.
  • First Rescue CPR does not sell, manage, or provide technical support for the online course.
  • All questions related to the online portion must be directed to AHA Customer Support at 1-888-CPR-LINE.
  • A valid HeartCode completion certificate is required on or before your skills session. Students without proof of completion will not be permitted to test.
  • You may bring your completion certificate to class or email it to support@firstrescuecpr.com prior to your session.
