ACLS Skills Session
ACLS Provider – HeartCode Skills Session
This hands-on skills session completes the American Heart Association ACLS HeartCode program. You’ll demonstrate advanced cardiac life support skills, clinical decision-making, and team-based resuscitation in a focused, instructor-led setting.
🕒 About 1–1.5 hours ✅ 2-year AHA ACLS certification
Who This Skills Session Is For
This session is for healthcare professionals who have completed the AHA ACLS HeartCode online course and need an in-person skills assessment.
  • Registered nurses, physicians, PAs & advanced practice providers
  • Paramedics, critical care & emergency clinicians
  • ICU, ER, cath lab, and procedural staff
  • Anyone whose employer or credentialing body requires AHA ACLS Provider
Two-Part Completion Requirement
This certification requires completion of both parts below.
  • Part 1 – AHA ACLS HeartCode eLearning (Required)
    Self-paced online course (approximately 2–5 hours). This portion is purchased separately and completed directly through the American Heart Association.

    Hands-on skills assessment at our office. Plan for approximately 1–1.5 hours.

Certification
Upon successful completion of the online course and skills session, you will receive an AHA ACLS Provider eCard valid for 2 years.
Student Verification
To protect the integrity of your certification, we verify student identity at the in-person skills session.

Please bring any photo ID (student ID, work badge, membership card, etc.). The name on your registration and online course should match the name on your ID so your certification is issued correctly.

  • The ACLS HeartCode eLearning course is owned and operated entirely by the American Heart Association.
  • First Rescue CPR does not sell, manage, or provide technical support for the online course.
  • All questions related to the online portion must be directed to AHA Customer Support at 1-888-CPR-LINE.
  • A valid HeartCode completion certificate is required on or before your skills session. Students without proof of completion will not be permitted to test.
  • You may bring your completion certificate to class or email it to support@firstrescuecpr.com prior to your session.
BLS Provider Course
BLS Provider (Healthcare Provider CPR)
This American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) course is designed for healthcare providers and students who need a clinical-level CPR certification. You’ll practice high-quality CPR, team response, and the skills that matter most in real cardiac and breathing emergencies.

This course will cover:

Health and Saftey Institute First Aid Course                                

Course Description:

A Health and Safety Institute (HSI) First Aid course is designed to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively in various emergency situations. The course covers essential first aid techniques, including assessing and responding to injuries, managing medical emergencies. Participants learn how to recognize and respond to common injuries such as burns, cuts, and fractures, as well as how to assist someone who is choking. The goal of the First Aid course is to empower individuals to take prompt and effective action in emergencies, potentially saving lives until professional medical help arrives.

Course Duration: 2 Hours

Certification: Successful completion of this course provides a 2 year, HSI First Aid certificate.

First Aid Skills Session

AHA First Aid Skills Session

This American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid Skills Session is the hands-on portion required to complete your certification after finishing the online AHA Heartsaver® First Aid course. During this instructor-led session, you'll demonstrate key first aid skills, including how to respond to common medical emergencies. Completion results in an official AHA course completion card, valid for two years.

Prerequisite: Completion of the AHA Heartsaver® First Aid Online Course (Part 1).

Completion of this course produces the following certificate:

 

 

Geting Started: 

 

  1. Step 1: Click here to purchase and complete the AHA Heartsaver® First Aid Online Course (Part 1) through the AHA website.

  2. Step 2: Come back here to purchase Part 2: the in-person Skills Session. You don’t need to finish Part 1 before buying Part 2. You'll just need to be sure it’s done before your scheduled session.

    (If you want to double-check that we have dates that work for you before purchasing, reach out to us anytime. We’re happy to help you find a session that fits your schedule before you commit).

  3. Step 3: After purchasing Part 2, we will contact you by the end of the following business day to schedule your session. You are welcome to email us first at support@firstrescuecpr.com if you prefer or its urgent. You’ll provide a few date options that work for you, we'll see what matches up to our schedule and get you confirmed.

  4. Step 4: Send in your online course completion certificate to our office email mentioned above or bring a paper copy of it with you to class when you come in to do your skills session.

 

During your in-person session, you’ll get hands-on practice and be tested on the following 4 skills:

  • Putting on and safely removing gloves.

  • Assessing the scene, ruling out cardiac arrest and discovering injuries.

  • Controlling bleeding.

  • Using an epinephrine auto-injector (like an EpiPen).

You'll have pleny of opportunity to ask any questions and review with the instructor before being tested!

Course Description

The AHA PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Online Course is a convenient and comprehensive training option for healthcare professionals seeking to enhance their skills in managing pediatric emergencies. Through interactive modules and realistic simulations, participants gain proficiency in pediatric assessment, intervention strategies, and teamwork dynamics. Successful completion results in certification, showcasing expertise in providing advanced life support for pediatric patients.

2 Part Completion Requirements

  • Part 1: Complete the online, eLearning course. (REQUIRED)
    • This course takes up to 2 hours to complete and is self-paced. It may be stopped and started anytime until completed.
    • You may purchase this course which is sold separately for $168 through the AHA. CLICK HERE to purchase the course directly from the AHA website. 
    • You must complete part 1 before completing part 2. You may register for your skills session now but cannot complete it until part 1 is finished first. 
  • Part 2: Complete the hands on, skills practice/testing session at our office. 
    • Anticipate up to 1 hour time to complete this portion of the course. 
    • You will be tested on:
      • 1 Cardiac Core Case Scenario
      • 1 Shock or Respiratory Case Scenario (Instructor's Choice)
      • Child and infant CPR

 

Certification

Completion of this online course with skills session will provide an AHA PALS Provider, Heartcode with instructor eCard that is valid for 2 years from the date of completion.
